Operation  
6.2.3 Support ring  
The actuator now performs an adjust-  
ment run. “ ” and the activity sym-  
bol ( ) are displayed. During this time,  
no other operation is possible. After  
the adjustment run has been success-  
ful, the display returns to normal.  
The valves from different manufactur-  
ers may have tolerance fluctuations  
that make the radiator thermostat  
more loosely seated on the valve. In  
this case, the support ring provided (R)  
should be inserted into the flange be-  
fore fitting the radiator thermostat.  
If the adjustment run has been  
initiated prior to fitting or if an  
error message (F1, F2, F3) is dis-  
played, press the control wheel/  
boost button (E) and the motor  
reverses to the “  
” position.  
7 Operation  
After pairing and mounting have been  
performed, simple operations are avail-  
able directly on the device.

If the radiator thermostat is in  
standby mode, please press the  
control wheel (E) once before  
operation to activate the device.

6.3 Adjustment run  
When the batteries are inserted,  
the motor retracts to simplify  
installation. Meanwhile, “  
and the activity symbol ( ) are  
displayed.  
• Temperature: Turn the control  
wheel (E) to the right or to the left  
to manually change the tempera-  
ture of the radiator. In automatic  
mode, the manually set tempera-  
ture will remain the same until the  
next point at which the schedule  
changes. Afterwards, the defined  
heating schedule will be enabled  
again. During manual mode, the  
temperature remains activated un-  
til the next manual change.  
After the radiator thermostat has been  
fitted successfully, an adjustment run (  
) must be performed to adapt the  
device to the valve. To do this, proceed  
as follows:  
• As soon as “  
” is displayed,  
press the control wheel/boost but-  
ton (E) to start the adjustment run.  
• Manual and automatic mode: Press  
and hold down the control wheel  
(E) to switch between manual and  
automatic mode. In automatic  
mode, the defined heating sched-  
ule of the Homematic IP App is  
If the display backlight is off, you  
must press button (E) a second  
time to start the adjustment run.
