What do the LED lights mean on Ideal Combi Halo Smart Interface?

How do I change the batteries in my Ideal Combi Halo control?

Use the finger grabs at the top and bottom to gently pull the Halo away from the rear housing.

1. Remove all old batteries.
2. Insert 4 new AA Alkaline batteries, checking correct orientation.
3. Position the Halo back onto the rear housing.
4. Gently push into place until you feel a positive click.
5. Wait while the Halo synchronises with the Smart Interface and returns to the home screen. User Guide, p. 9

What's the difference between Failsafe mode and Override mode on Ideal Combi?

In Failsafe mode the boiler output temperature is reduced but the schedule still operates. Override mode provides full manual control of the boiler. User Guide, p. 10

How long is the Ideal Combi warranty?

Two years from the date of installation. Without proof of purchase, it starts from the manufacture date via serial number. User Guide, p. 11

Will Ideal Combi warranty cover damage from failed batteries?

No. The guarantee doesn't apply to defects caused by deliberate action, accident, misuse, third party interference, modification, or failed batteries. User Guide, p. 11

What does the override icon mean on Ideal Combi display

You've temporarily adjusted the heating temperature in Auto mode. It'll remain active until the next scheduled change. User Guide, p. 5

How do I set up a heating schedule on Ideal Combi

The thermostat ships with a pre-set schedule. To modify it, enter the timed heating schedule section from the main menu.

1. Turn the dial to move between days; the current day shows highlighted in light blue.
2. Push the dial or right button to edit that day.
3. Push the dial again to edit a time or temperature when it's highlighted.
4. Scroll and push to change start time, end time, or temperature.
5. Push the dial or right button to save your changes.
6. Optionally scroll down and push 'Add new heating event' to create up to 6 heating periods per day. User Guide, p. 6

Can I tell when Ideal Combi Halo heating is actively running?

A flame symbol appears on the display when heating is on. The temperature scale in the centre will also turn orange and red. User Guide, p. 2
