White Rodgers 1E65-144 Non Programmable Electronic Digital Thermostat Instruction Manual Overview

Summary of Contents

  • Page 1: Non-programmable electronic digital thermostat for line voltage applications. The thermostat is designed to control electric heating systems such as baseboard heaters and radiant floors. The thermostat cannot be used with resistive loads under 2 A or over 16.7 A. Installation should be done by a qualified heating and air conditioning contractor or licensed electrician. To prevent electrical shock and personal injury, disconnect electric power prior to installation or service. All wiring must conform to local and national electrical codes and ordinances. Use the adapter plate accessory if you need to offset the mounting holes on the junction box. The thermostat has a setpoint range of 7°C to 32°C (45°F to 90°F). The display resolution is 0.1°C (1°F). Minimum load is 2 A (resistive only) and maximum load is 16.7 A (resistive only).
  • Page 2: Installation instructions specify the use of copper conductors and approved wire connectors for 12 AWG. Keep the air vents of the thermostat clean and unobstructed to prevent harm. Make appropriate connections to the thermostat as per the provided diagram; the wires are non-polarized. Align and affix the base to the electrical junction box or optional adapter plate using two screws. The thermostat normally displays the actual ambient temperature. Proportional control allows the thermostat to modulate based on power usage. The thermostat saves the setpoint temperature and configuration selections permanently, even after power outages. To reset the thermostat, press specific buttons simultaneously. To change the thermostat installer configuration, press and hold a designated button for 5 seconds. Heating elements may have a protection device that activates when overheated, which can affect thermostat regulation.
Alimentation : 120/240 V CA, 50/60 Hz, 2 A (résistive seulement).
  • Page 4: Installation requires the use of specific conductors and connection caps for 12 AWG wires. Ensure that the thermostat's air intakes are always clean and unobstructed to prevent damage. Wiring the thermostat should follow the provided diagrams. The thermostat should display the ambient temperature when set correctly. Adjustments include settings for heating and cooling modes, as well as temperature display options. The thermostat retains settings in permanent memory, even during power outages. To reset the thermostat, press specific buttons simultaneously. Thermal protection devices in heating elements may trigger during overheating, causing the thermostat to stop functioning temporarily. To illuminate the display, press the designated button. Configuration settings can be adjusted by holding a specific button for five seconds.
