Important things to know before installation
• This product should be installed by a qualified technician.
• Carefully read these instructions. You could damage this product or cause a hazardous
condition if you fail to follow these instructions.
• Electrical Hazard Caution: Turn OFF power to your HVAC system before installation. Failure to
disconnect the power before beginning to install this product can cause electrical shock or
equipment damage.
• Do not over-tighten the screws during mounting.
The thermostat should be mounted
• approximately 4 - 5 feet above the floor.
• a central location with average temperature and humidity.
• on an interior wall that is easily accessible.
• in a location with good air circulation.
The thermostat should NOT be mounted
• where it is exposed to direct sunlight.
• to a wall that contains concealed chimneys or pipes.
• where there is obstructed air flow such as in corners or behind doors.
• directly above or below an hot or cold air ducts.
• on an exterior wall.
WARNING
INGESTION HAZARD: This product contains a button cell or coin battery.
DEATH or serious injury can occur if ingested.
A swallowed button cell or coin battery can cause Internal Chemical
Burns in as little as 2 hours.
KEEP new and used batteries OUT OF REACH of CHILDREN
Seek immediate medical attention if a battery is suspected to be
swallowed or inserted inside any part of the body.
The product contains Non-replaceable batteries.
Compatible battery type CR1220. Nominal battery voltage 3V.
