Yes. The thermostat supports both system types. Select which one during profile setup in the EC Tool Pro App. Owner's Manual, p. 2

How do I install a saved profile to the VTech T961?

Step	Action
1	Power on your HVAC system
2	Open EC Tool Pro app and tap Installation tab
3	Enter your room name and tap Next
4	Preview the wiring diagram and select a profile
5	Tap Start and hold your phone's NFC area against the thermostat
6	Keep your phone steady until the transfer completes and success appears

How do I secure the VTech T961 to the wall plate?

Engage the lugs at the top of the wall plate, push the thermostat into its plug-in terminal block, then tighten the 2 Phillips screws on the bottom edge. Owner's Manual, p. 6
