Summary of Contents
- Page 1: Installation instructions for the receiver emphasize avoiding mounting on metal surfaces and maintaining a distance from metal objects. The receiver is fixed to the wall using a standard wall plate included with the product. All electrical installation work should be performed by a qualified electrician or competent person. Do not remove or re-fit the receiver without isolating the mains supply. Wiring must comply with IEE regulations, and the product is intended for fixed wiring only. The pack contains a power supply, receiver, thermostat, and necessary mounting hardware. The unit is double insulated and does not require an earth connection, though a terminal is provided for a spare wire. Instructions for mounting the receiver include securing it with locking screws. The document outlines various connection types, including 230V and voltage-free connections. Additional sections include pairing procedure, operating states, troubleshooting, and technical specifications.
- Page 2: Secure the thermostat by screwing the locking screws under the thermostat. To ensure accurate readings, install the thermostat approximately 1.5 m above floor level on an inside wall, away from direct sunshine and sources of heat or cold. Ensure that the thermostat is not positioned near areas affected by interference from other sources like wireless transmitters or receivers. The thermostat measures the temperature of the place where it is installed and does not account for temperature differences in different locations in the house. To install batteries, remove the batteries cover, insert 2 AA batteries, and replace the cover, noting the correct polarity. Tilt the thermostat according to its placement in the room; two tilts are available: 30° and 37°. To bond the transmitter and receiver, press and hold the RF test button on the receiver for 5 seconds until the green light blinks. Within 1 minute, press and hold the RF test button on the thermostat for 5 seconds until the pairing icon flashes. Secure the wall plate with the screws provided using the horizontal and vertical holes. Replace the thermostat on the wall mounting plate.
- Page 3: Thermostat RF icon and receiver Green light will be solid when pairing is complete. Technical specifications include power supply and battery life. Manual temperature setting range is from +5°C to +30°C. Receiver power supply is 230V~50/60Hz with relay outputs of 5(2)A. Maximum range in the home is typically 15m, varying by construction. Signal sending occurs every 10 minutes with a maximum time-lag of 1 minute after set-point temperature change. Operating states of the system include various indicator light colors for connection status. Troubleshooting tips include checking batteries and ensuring proper placement of the thermostat. Radio transmission issues may require resiting the transmitter or receiver to avoid interference. The product must be disposed of at a special recycling point in accordance with European Directive WEEE 2012/19/EU.
- Page 4: LCD display shows measured room temperature and call for heat icon. To start, insert the two AA batteries provided into the battery compartment. After 2 seconds, the LCD will display the ambient temperature and setpoint temperature. The low battery level indicator appears when batteries must be changed. Remember to take used batteries to collection points for recycling. The thermostat and receiver are not bonded together at the factory. To bond the transmitter and receiver, press and hold the RF test button on the receiver for 5 seconds. Press and hold the RF test button on the thermostat within 1 minute to initiate pairing. The RF icon and receiver green light will blink during pairing and become solid when complete. Thank you for purchasing the wireless digital room thermostat designed for ease of operation and installation.
- Page 5: OPERATING TROUBLESHOOTING Check that the thermostat is calling for heat if yes then the thermostat would appear to be working check that the boiler has not switched itself off. The desired temperature can be set. To set the temperature, turn the dial clockwise to increment the temperature, turn the dial counter-clockwise to decrement the temperature. The default temperature is 20°C (68°F). Check the active desired temperature and increase it if need be. You must need to restore factory settings, as explained in the “Factory settings” section. If an indicator light is on but the system remains cold, then you should contact your installer. A room thermostat simply switches the heating system on and off as necessary. Turning a room thermostat to a higher setting will not make the room heat up any faster. Room thermostats need a free flow of air to sense the temperature, so they must not be covered by curtains or blocked by furniture.
