  • Page 3: Mounting the thermostat Locate the mounting buttons horizontally across the hole with the smaller diameter against the wall. Remove mounting tab before mounting on the wall. Screw in one screw and level the buttons so the display will be straight when installed. Aligning the buttons with the holes in the back of the display. Press the display against the wall and gently slide the display down to lock it in place. Screw in second screw making sure the two buttons remain level.
  • Page 4: Initial setup instructions Switches on the control boards are used to configure the system. Operating modes available will reflect the setting of these switches. This thermostat may be operated remotely using either Bluetooth or WIFI. Create your account and follow the prompts to connect your thermostat. Each thermostat can only be assigned to a single account. The original Dometic five button display did not display temperatures for each zone. EasyTouch displays temperatures for all zones based on the temperature measured at the faceplate. Adjusting the temperature offset in settings may be necessary to compensate for any deviation. Control boards for the five-button control can be replaced by the 10-12 button control system boards. Re-flashing can be done by sending the thermostat to Micro-Air for an upgrade.
  • Page 5: Pressing the fan icon selects between manual and automatic fan speeds. Automatic will turn the fan off after the heating or cooling cycle is completed. Fan low runs continually on low, medium runs continually on medium, and high runs continually on high. Auto fan cycles with the compressor or electric element and turns off the fan when a cycle is complete. Home mode is the normal operating mode using a single set point for temperature control. Schedule mode allows changing set points throughout the day programmatically. The zone selection button shows a zone in green when it is turned on and in red if there is a fault with the zone. Pressing the gear changes the settings screen to allow additional setup functions. The set point changes the system units from °F to °C and indicates system operation. A staging message will appear on the screen for staged systems with more than one compressor per zone.
  • Page 6: Schedule screen Set points may be changed on a time-based schedule. Events will show --:-- when the event is disabled. Press the hour’s position to set the hours. Use the adjustment selectors to change the hours. Press the minutes to move the flashing bar under the minutes. Use the up and down adjustment selectors to make changes. Press the temperature to change the desired temperature set point. Press the time in the upper right to change 12 and 24-hour time formats. Time zone is set and saved whenever the thermostat connects using Bluetooth. Press the enabled/disabled button to enable the schedule.
  • Page 7: Settings screen includes various modes and adjustments for the thermostat. Day/Night mode adjusts display brightness based on the time of day. The DIP switches icon allows viewing of control board settings. WIFI settings and MAC address can be accessed, but changes must be made via a smart device application. Temperature adjustment applies only to zone 1 and allows for an offset. The generator icon controls the remote generator start system if equipped. Bluetooth settings enable resetting the Bluetooth password linked to the account. Schedule function allows automatic changes to set points at predetermined times. Brightness settings adjust normal and screen saver brightness. Reset all option restores factory settings, clearing all configurations.
  • Page 8: Gas heat override activates when the outside temperature falls below the minimum heat pump operating temperature. The smart device application includes a reset device feature that allows resetting the display as if power was removed and restored. Calibrating the touchscreen is usually unnecessary, but the option prompts the user to press the four corners of the display for calibration. Checking for updates requires the smart device application to have internet and the thermostat to be connected to WIFI. Notifications allow the thermostat to communicate with a smart device, indicating when the temperature exceeds set limits. Users can set minimum and maximum allowed temperatures for notifications through the app. Notifications are sent for each degree the temperature rises above the maximum set temperature. If the temperature drops below the maximum, no notification is sent unless it exceeds the last maximum temperature again. The notification system is designed to avoid nuisance alerts to the smart device. Table 3 illustrates the actions taken based on temperature readings and notifications.
