Summary of Contents

  • Page 1: Operating instructions for CDT2-24 room thermostat with delay start include factory default settings, specifications and wiring, mounting, and installation. Caution: Disconnect the thermostat from the mains before any electrical work. Only qualified electricians or authorized service staff may open the thermostat. Frost protection is built into the thermostat, fixed at 5°C and not adjustable. The thermostat should be wall mounted at a height of 1.5 meters for accurate temperature measurement. Choose a mounting location away from direct sunlight or heating/cooling sources. Resetting the thermostat is necessary prior to initial use. To lock the keypad, press and hold the designated buttons for 5 seconds. Wire the thermostat according to the provided wiring diagram. The thermostat can be fitted to recessed conduit boxes, surface mounting boxes, or directly on walls. The unit can be opened 180 degrees for easy access.
  • Page 2: Operating instructions for CDT2-24 room thermostat with delay start. High and low temperature limitation allows for setting upper and lower temperature limits. The thermostat activates when the temperature falls below the setpoint. To adjust high and low limit temperatures, specific button sequences must be followed. Delay start is an energy-saving mode that delays thermostat activation based on temperature conditions. The factory default switching differential is 0.4°C. Adjusting the setpoint temperature can be done using designated buttons. The thermostat has three modes: Normal On/Off, Delay Start, and Time Proportional Integral Mode (TPI). Delay start can be reactivated by specific actions related to temperature settings. The time delay for heating activation varies based on the temperature difference from the setpoint.
  • Page 3: Operating instructions CDT2-24 room thermostat with delay start Time proportional integral mode (TPI) When the thermostat is in TPI mode, it will turn on and off to avoid overshooting or undershooting the setpoint. There are two settings that affect the thermostat's operation: the number of heating cycles per hour and the proportional bandwidth. The number of heating cycles per hour determines how often the thermostat cycles the heating on and off. You can select from 2, 3, 6, or 12 cycles per hour. The proportional bandwidth refers to the temperature below the setpoint at which the thermostat will start to operate in TPI control. You can set the proportional bandwidth from 1.5°C to 3.0°C in 0.1°C increments. An example shows the thermostat starting heating at a set time and switching off before reaching the temperature to allow natural increase.
