How do I wire the Honeywell RLV3150 to my heating system?

Connect thermostat wires to the heating system load and power supply using either 2-wire or 4-wire installation.

1. Loosen the screw underneath the thermostat and separate the faceplate from the wallplate.
2. Connect wires to the load and power supply terminals.
3. Mount the wallplate to the electrical box using provided screws through the left or right mounting holes.
4. Set the configuration switches on the back of the faceplate.
5. Reinstall the faceplate and tighten the screw.
6. Apply power to the heating system and verify it operates. User Guide, p. 2

Can I use this thermostat with a heating load under 2 amps or with aluminum wiring?

No, it won't work with loads under 2 A. For aluminum wires, you must use special CO/ALR solderless connectors instead of standard ones. User Guide, p. 2

What's the difference between minimum and maximum setpoint on the Honeywell RLV3150?

Minimum setpoint is the lowest temperature the thermostat allows; maximum setpoint is the highest. Minimum cannot exceed maximum, and maximum cannot fall below minimum. User Guide, p. 5

What does a faded display mean on the Honeywell RLV3150?

The heater capacity is probably less than the thermostat's minimum load requirement of 2 A. The thermostat cannot operate below that rating. User Guide, p. 5

What do the Up and Down buttons do on the Honeywell RLV3150?
