Application
This thermostat is designed to control an electric heating system such as a baseboard
heater, a radiant ceiling, a convector or a fan-forced heater.
The thermostat CANNOT be used with:
• a resistive load under 0.83 A
• a resistive load over 14.6 A
• a system driven by a contactor or a relay (inductive load)
• a central heating system.
WARNING Electrical Shock Hazard.
This thermostat is a line voltage control (120–240 Volts). Do not install it if you
are not completely familiar with house wiring. If handled improperly, there is risk
of electric shock hazard, which may cause serious injury or death.

What's the difference between Away and Standby modes on the Honeywell RLV4305?
Away mode lowers temperature to 59°F for extended absences. Standby disables heating entirely, maintaining only frost protection at 41°F. Owner's Manual, p. 6
What do the Up and Down buttons do on the Honeywell RLV4305?
Press once to view setpoint for 5 seconds. Press repeatedly to adjust temperature or modify schedule parameters. Owner's Manual, p. 5
Can the Honeywell RLV4305 work with both 120 V and 240 V supply?
Yes. The thermostat operates on 120/240 VAC, 60 Hz supply. Owner's Manual, p. 9
How do I reset the Honeywell RLV4305 to factory settings?
All parameters except clock settings return to default values when reset.
- Press the Mode button until Standby appears on the screen.
- Press the button for 6 seconds.
- The display will show rSt for 2 seconds, then return to normal. Owner's Manual, p. 9
Why is the Honeywell RLV4305 display showing HI?
The measured temperature is above the display range of 32 °F to 99 °F. Owner's Manual, p. 9
Where should I install the Honeywell RLV4305 in my home?
Mount it about 5 feet high on an inside wall facing the heater, away from drafts, dead air spots, direct sunlight and chimneys or stove pipes. Owner's Manual, p. 2
Does the Honeywell RLV4305 display light up when I press a button?
The backlit screen illuminates for 12 seconds whenever you press any button. Owner's Manual, p. 4
