- Page 2: Installation instructions provide guidance on the proper setup of the room thermostat. Do not site the room thermostat in a draught, in direct sunlight, or close to heat-emitting appliances. Ensure the supply voltage to the system is disconnected before installation or removing the thermostat cover. Fix the base moulding on a flat wall or on a flush box. The temperature range can be limited by adjusting the springs on the back of the setting knob. When wiring through the side of the thermostat, break out the knockout with pliers. When connected to an inductive load without noise suppression, there may be a risk of radio and TV interference. RMT versions with parallel accelerator will have a lower temperature differential when connected as specified. RMT-24T will set back the temperature by 5K when the built-in resistance is connected as shown. Refer to figures for detailed installation and wiring instructions.
