Read and follow manufacturer instrucꢀons carefully. Follow all local electrical codes during installaꢀon.
All wiring must conform to local and naꢀonal electrical codes. Improper wiring or installaꢀon may
damage Thermostat.
Recognize safety informaꢀon. This is the safety‐‐alert symbol ⚠. When you see this symbol on the
equipment and in the instrucꢀon manual, be alert to the potenꢀal for personal injury.
Understand the signal words DANGER, WARNING, and CAUTION. These words are used with the safety‐
‐alert symbol. DANGER idenꢀfies the most serious hazards which will result in severe personal injury or
death. WARNING signifies a hazard which could result in personal injury or death. CAUTION is used to
idenꢀfy unsafe pracꢀces which may result in minor personal injury or product and property damage.
NOTE is used to highlight suggesꢀons which will result in enhanced installaꢀon, reliability, or operaꢀon.
WARNING – Contains Strong Magnets – Can Be Harmful to Pacemaker Wearers. Magnets Are
Permanently Installed – Swallowing Risk If Removed.
INTRODUCTION
The Carrier 24V Smart Thermostat is a Wi‐Fi‐enabled programmable wall‐mounted, low‐voltage control.
It includes an LED temperature display and 4 capaciꢀve touch buꢁons to control temperature setpoints
and heaꢀng/cooling/fan modes of operaꢀon from the thermostat. Homeowners can remotely, via the
Carrier Home app, set temperature as well as set daily/weekly programmable schedules with 4 comfort
profiles ‐ home/sleep/wake/away. The Smart Thermostat offers a simplisꢀc, smartphone‐like feel and
easy snap on/snap off removal from the backplate thanks to its patent‐pending design.

1. Download and open the Carrier Service Technician App from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Select Connect to Equipment and then Smart Thermostat.
3. Follow the guided thermostat configuraꢀon instrucꢀons .
HOMEOWNERS
1. Download the Carrier Home App from the App Store or Google Play and create an
account
2. Select Add New Device and then Smart Thermostat.
Follow the guided setup instrucꢀons to connect to your Wi‐Fi network.
