  • Page 2: Add your DITRA-HEAT-E-RS1 thermostat to Amazon Alexa. You must first have created an account in the Schluter Smart Thermostat App and have connected your device to it. Download the Amazon Alexa app from the App Store or Google Play to your mobile device. Select Connected Platforms from the Schluter App home screen.
  • Page 3: Select the Amazon Alexa icon and click on Connect. You will then be prompted to open from a browser or the Amazon Alexa app. Select the Amazon Alexa app.
  • Page 4: Accept Alexa’s request for permission to access your device and click on LINK. Alexa will then be connected to your thermostat. Click on ALLOW when asked if you want to grant Amazon Alexa permission to control your ecosystem. Shortly after, the Schluter Smart Thermostat app will confirm the association was a success. Click on FINISH.
  • Page 5: How to connect your DITRA-HEAT-E-RS1 thermostat to Amazon Alexa To connect your DITRA-HEAT-E-RS1 thermostat with Amazon Alexa, you must download the Schluter Smart Thermostat app, create an account, and connect your device. In the Alexa app, tap Devices. Tap the + button in the upper-right corner and select Add Device.
  • Page 6: Click the thermostat’s tile in the Amazon Alexa app and control its setpoint and also give voice commands to Alexa.
  • Page 7: Discover the commands for Amazon Alexa. Commands for reporting current thermostat setting include asking if the thermostat is on and what mode it is set to. Commands for setting the thermostat include setting a specific temperature, making it warmer or cooler, setting it to automatic, turning off the heat, and resuming the thermostat schedule.
  • Page 8: Next, select the Hey Google icon and click on Connect. You will be prompted to open from a browser or the Google Home app. Select the Google Home app.

This application will monitor and control your Schluter Smart Thermostat ecosystem. Accept Google’s request for permission to access your device. Google will then be connected to your thermostat.
  • Page 10: How to connect your DITRA-HEAT-E-RS1 thermostat to Google Assistant To connect your DITRA-HEAT-E-RS1 thermostat with Google Assistant, you must download the Schluter Smart Thermostat app, create an account, and connect your device. On your Google home page, tap + in the left corner of the screen, then tap Set up device.
  • Page 11: Tap works with Google. In the search field, enter Schluter Thermostat and select it. Follow the on-screen steps: enter your login information, then grant access.
  • Page 12: The thermostat device(s) that are connected to the app will be displayed on screen. You will need to select each thermostat, assign them to a home, and then select the room where they are installed. When your thermostat is connected to the app and has been configured in Google Home, you can control it with Google Assistant.

  • Page 14: Refer to the Apple HomeKit pamphlet included in the product packaging and scan the Apple HomeKit QR code. Select the Add to Home button. The app will connect to the thermostat to add it to the home; it might take a brief moment.
  • Page 15: Select the room in which the device is installed, then click on Continue. The installation is completed. Click View in Home to view the device and change its setpoint. A hub (iPad or AppleTV) is required to access devices remotely with the Apple Home app.
