This thermostat contains a Lithium battery which
may contain Perchlorate material.

Remove your old thermostat
1. CAUTION TURN OFF POWER to system at the furnace, or at the fuse/circuit
breaker panel before you begin.
2. Remove cover and thermostat, but leave wallplate with wires attached.
Leave wallplate in place.
Is there a sealed tube containing
mercury? If so, see mercury notice
below.

management authority for proper
disposal instructions.

How do I connect wires to the terminal block?
Match each labeled wire to its terminal letter, loosen the screw, insert the bare wire, and tighten. Owner's Manual, p. 3
What's the correct way to install the Honeywell CT87N on the wall?
Pull wires through the base, mark screw holes, drill at those locations, tap in anchors, then mount the base with screws.
- Pull wires through the thermostat base.
- Mark both screw hole positions on the wall.
- Drill holes at marked locations (3/16" for drywall, 7/32" for plaster).
- Tap anchors into holes until flush with the wall.
- Position the base over anchors and insert mounting screws, then tighten. Owner's Manual, p. 3
