- Page 2: Important safety information should be read before using the thermostat. Always turn off power at the main power supply before installing, cleaning, or removing the thermostat to avoid electrical shock hazard. Do not use on voltages over 30 VAC, as higher voltages can damage the thermostat and pose shock or fire hazards. All wiring must conform to local and national electrical and building codes. Use this thermostat only as described in this manual. The electrical rating is 24 VAC (18–30 VAC) with a maximum of 1 amp per terminal and a total load of 4 amps. The operating temperature range is 40°F–99°F (4°C–37°C). The temperature set range is 60°F–85°F (15°C–29°C) with an accuracy of 1°F (0.5°C). System configurations include factory settings for 3-stage heat and 2-stage cool, as well as alternate settings for different heating and cooling stages. Maximum wiring length is 66ft (20 meters) for AWG18 and 60ft (18 meters) for AWG20.

- Page 4: Installation instructions include a warning about electrical shock hazards, emphasizing the importance of turning off power before removing the existing thermostat. The package contents include the thermostat base, thermostat cover, wiring labels, screws, and wall anchors. Tools required for installation are a drill with a bit, hammer, screwdriver, and putty.
- Page 5: Installation instructions To remove existing thermostat Turn off power to heating and cooling system by removing the fuse or switching off the appropriate circuit breaker. Remove cover of old thermostat. This should expose the wires. Label the existing wires with the enclosed wire labels before removing wires. After labeling wires, remove wires from wire terminals. Remove existing thermostat base from wall. Refer to the following section for instructions on how to install this thermostat.
- Page 6: Installation instructions for the thermostat must conform to local and national building and electrical codes and ordinances. Mount the thermostat about five feet above the floor and avoid locations such as outside walls, direct sunlight, behind doors, or areas affected by vents or ducts. Turn off power to the heating and cooling system by removing the fuse or switching off the appropriate circuit breaker. Remove the cover by inserting and twisting a coin or screwdriver in the slots on the top of the thermostat. Put the thermostat base against the wall where you plan to mount it, ensuring wires will feed through the wire opening in the base. Mark the placement of the mounting holes with the base level. Use a hammer to tap supplied anchors into the mounting holes. Align the thermostat base with the mounting holes and feed the control wires through the wire opening.
- Page 7: Installation instructions for the thermostat include sealing the hole for wires with non-flammable insulation or putty. Use supplied screws to mount the thermostat base to the wall. Insert stripped, labeled wires into matching wire terminals. Ensure exposed wires do not touch other wires. Gently tug the wire to confirm proper connection. Double check that each wire is connected to the correct terminal. Replace the cover on the thermostat by snapping it in place. Plug the unit in or turn on power to the system at the main service panel. Test the thermostat operation.

- Page 15: Troubleshooting tips provide solutions for common problems. Check for 24 VAC if the display is blank. Verify that wiring is correct if the system fan does not come on properly. Ensure 24 VAC is present as all thermostat buttons will be inoperative without it. Adjust the temperature differential if the thermostat turns on and off too frequently. Check fan selection if the fan runs continuously. Verify that the wall hole is plugged to ensure correct room temperature. There is a 3-minute time delay for the compressor when changing functions or settings. On some models, the fan may have a minimum run time or off time delay. Press the reset button to reset the thermostat microprocessor for problems not listed above.
