How do I open the GE THERMOSTAT cover to access the control board?

Remove three screws from the main control box to allow the bottom section to hinge open. Owner's Manual, p. 5

How do I mount the GE THERMOSTAT base to the wall?

Mark mounting holes, drill 1/8 inch pilot holes, align the base, and use supplied screws to secure it.

1. Position the base against the wall where you plan to mount it.
2. With the base level, mark the placement of the mounting holes.
3. Using a 1/8 inch drill bit, drill pilot holes in the marked locations.
4. Align the thermostat base with the mounting holes and feed control wires through the wire opening.

What do the mode screen displays mean on a thermostat?

Cool mode, Heat Pump mode, and Furnace mode screens display which heating or cooling function is active. Owner's Manual, p. 14

What is the minimum off time for the GE THERMOSTAT compressor?

3 minutes. After the compressor shuts off, it cannot restart until this period has elapsed to minimize short cycling. Owner's Manual, p. 10

What does code F1 mean on a GE THERMOSTAT?

Indoor coil sensor is unplugged or temperature is below -22°F (-30°C). Owner's Manual, p. 11

When will the GE THERMOSTAT display flash a snowflake symbol in cooling mode?

When the indoor coil is freezing. The compressor will not operate. Clean the filter and open the vents to increase airflow. Owner's Manual, p. 10
