- Page 2: Customer service information is provided for assistance. The Degrii Thermostat is compatible with a variety of 24V systems, including gas, electric, oil, forced air, heat pump, and radiant systems. It can control heating with one, two, and three stages. Cooling control is available for one and two stages. The thermostat supports heat pump systems with auxiliary and emergency heat. Fan control is included in the thermostat's features. The thermostat requires specific wiring for humidifier or dehumidifier connections. It can function without a common wire, but an accessory is needed based on the system type. The connector can accept only one of the wires: E, HUM, or DEHUM. Additional accessories may be necessary for proper operation.

- Page 4: Installation guide Download the Degrii OS app and sign in or create an account. Switch off power to protect you and prevent blowing a fuse in your equipment. Adjust the temperature on your old thermostat to verify that your system is off. You'll need the app for installation and setup of your thermostat. Some covers pop off, while others need to be unscrewed. In the app home page, click “+ New Device” and add your Degrii thermostat. Follow the app instructions to complete the installation. Watch the Degrii thermostat installation video guide.
- Page 5: Check your system. If your old thermostat is labeled 120V or 240V or has thick wires with wire nuts, it indicates a high voltage system that is incompatible. Peel off the labels from the label sticker provided and attach them to the thermostat’s matching wires. If you notice two names assigned to each terminal on the back plate of your old thermostat, we recommend using the names that correspond to your HVAC type or reaching out to customer support for assistance. Remove any jumper wires. Jumper wires are short wires used to connect two terminals and are not needed for the installation. The R wire should be inserted into the RC terminal. Take a picture of the wires on your old thermostat for future reference.
- Page 6: Disconnect the wires and remove the base. Mark where screws will go. Wrap the wires around a pen or pencil after removing the base to prevent them from falling back into the wall hole. Use the bubble level to make sure the Degrii thermostat is level. Check if your old thermostat has a C wire. Attach the Degrii base by pulling the wires through the center and securing it to the wall with screws. If your old thermostat has a C wire, continue to the next page. If not, jump to C-Wire Adapter installation if you have 4 wires. Some systems may have an unused wire attached to the C terminal on the HVAC. If you do not have C and G wire on your old thermostat, jump to 24v Power Adapter installation.
- Page 7: Connect wires. Switch the power back on. After all the wires are securely connected, push them down to make sure they’re flush with the base. Complete setup through the app. The Degrii Thermostat will turn on and the app will walk you through completing the setup. Attach the display. Press the display onto the base until it clicks.
- Page 8: CWA installation guide If you don’t have a C wire, you’ll need to use the Degrii C-Wire Adapter to reliably power your Degrii smart thermostat. The C-Wire Adapter requires your system to have 4 wires W/W1, Y/Y1, G, and R (or RC or RH). Open your HVAC system’s cover to reveal the control board. Warning: HVAC systems contain high voltage wires. Use caution when working with the control board.
- Page 9: Take a picture of the wires connected to your control board. You may need to reference this photo later on. Disconnect the wires labeled R, Y, G, and W from the control board. Connect the wires you disconnected from the control board into their matching gray terminal blocks on the C-Wire Adapter. Label only the R, Y or Y1, G, and W or W1 wires with the matching labels provided. If you have more than one wire going into these terminals, only label those going to your thermostat.
- Page 10: Connect the five white wires coming out of your C-Wire Adapter to their corresponding terminals on the control board. Mount the C-Wire Adapter inside your HVAC system, taking care not to strain the wires. Check that you have installed the C-Wire Adapter correctly. It should be installed between your thermostat wiring and your control board. Carefully disconnect and label the wires from your old thermostat one at a time, using the labels provided. If you have a jumper between RC, RH, or R, leave it alone. Only label the wires that run from your wall into a terminal block. Label the G wire as C. The G wire becomes your new C wire to power the Degrii thermostat after installing the C-Wire Adapter.

Use the bubble level to make sure the Degrii Thermostat is level. It is advisable to wrap the wires around a pen or pencil in a careful manner after removing the base, to prevent them from inadvertently falling back into the wall hole. Pull the wires through the center of the base, then attach it to the wall with the screws.

- Page 13: 24V power adapter installation guide If you don’t have a C wire and a G wire, you’ll need to use the Degrii 24V power adapter to reliably power your Degrii smart thermostat. The 24V power adapter can be used to power your Degrii thermostat if you don't have G and C wires on your old thermostat.
- Page 14: Take out your 24v power adapter from the box. Connect wires to the thermostat terminals. Pull all the HVAC wires through the center of the back panel. Make sure the 24v power adapter wires are connected to the Rc and C terminals on the thermostat. Thread the 24v power adapter wires through the side holes of the back panel. Attach the thermostat back panel to the wall with the screws.
- Page 15: Attach the display. Press the display onto the base until it clicks. The Degrii Thermostat will turn on and the app will walk you through completing the setup. Switch the power back on. Ensure that you plug the 24v adapter into the wall socket and power it on.
- Page 16: Troubleshooting If your Degrii thermostat doesn’t turn on, please try these steps: Check that all wires are properly inserted into the terminal blocks at the thermostat. Tug on the wires to ensure they are not loose. Make sure your HVAC cover panel is closed. Some systems will not turn on if the cover panel has not been closed properly.
- Page 17: If you have only one R wire, make sure it’s inserted into the Rc terminal. Verify the connection of the C wire to the HVAC control board. Make sure you inserted the wires into the correct terminals if you installed the C-Wire Adapter. The G wire of your previous thermostat is repurposed to C on the Degrii thermostat when the C-Wire Adapter is installed. In some cases, even if the C wire is connected to the old thermostat, it may not be connected to the C terminal on the HVAC control board.
