Check your system
Label wires
If your old thermostat is labeled 120V or 240V or has thick wires
with wire nuts, it indicates a high voltage system that is incompat-
ible. If you're uncertain, please reach out to our support team at
happycustomer@degrii.com for assistance.
Peel off the labels from the label sticker provided and attach
them to the thermostat’s matching wires.
STEP 6
If you notice two names assigned to each terminal on the back-
plate of your old thermostat, we recommend using the names
that correspond to your HVAC type (Heat Pump or Conventional)
or reaching out to Degrii customer support for prompt assistance
and guidance.
Remove any jumper wires
Jumper wires are short wires used to connect two terminals. They
are not needed for the installation. The R wire should be inserted
into the RC terminal.
Tip: Take a picture of the wires on your old thermostat
for future reference.
