Right out of the box, you’ll find most of what you need for installation. The Smart Thermostat requires 24VAC connections to the Rh/Rc terminals and the C terminal for proper operation. It will not operate without these connections. A pre-installed shunt jumper connects the Rh and Rc terminals, but can be removed for applications using two 24VAC transformers.
