Selecꢀng your Mode
The mode funcꢀon bar allows you to select different modes for your SMT-850 'Halo' thermostat. Heat Only Mode
acꢀvates your heaꢀng system to maintain your desired warmth. Cool Only Mode, acꢀvates your cooling system to
keep your home or office cool. Auto Mode, Monitors the room temperature and automaꢀcally switches between
heaꢀngand coolingto keepyour environment comfortable.

The SMT-850 'Halo' thermostat offers advanced fan control capabiliꢀes. In its simplest form, you can choose
whether the fan runs conꢀnuously (On) regardless of heaꢀng or cooling needs, or only when the thermostat calls
forheaꢀngor cooling(Auto).
Addiꢀonally, your installer may have enabled more advanced fan logic features, where the fan mode changes
automaꢀcallybased on the ꢀme of day or the last mode used(Heaꢀng orCooling).

If enabled by your installer and supported by your heaꢀng or cooling system, your SMT-850 Halo can permit you to
select the speed you wish the fan to run at. The SMT-850 will only show the available speeds from single speed
(where the fan speed ribbon is not shown)to 6 or more fan speeds.
