The Backlight Seꢃngs window allows you to adjust the Halo backlight intensity based on two
condiꢀons: when the screen is touched or when it is idle. Addiꢀonally, an ambient light sensor
enables the backlight to adjust automaꢀcally according to room lighꢀng levels. For example, the
backlight can be turned off when the room is detected as being dark.

You can enter holiday periods into the Halo memory. A holiday period begins and ends at
midnight on the specified days, during which holiday event seꢃngs override the regular weekly
schedule. These events can also be backed up, allowing you to transfer them to mulꢀple SMT-850
“Halo” thermostats if needed.
Holidays
Trend will provide you with a zoom-able record of the last few days room temperature and set
temperatures. This is useful for evaluaꢀng system performance or confirming correct comfort
levels.

The Info window should be your first stop if you encounter issues with your SMT-850 “Halo” or
your heaꢀng and cooling system. This window provides details on how your SMT-850 “Halo” is
configured, what acꢀons it is requesꢀng, and whether any errors are being reported. Addiꢀonally,
if your installer has entered their informaꢀon into the Halo, this page will display their contact
details for easy reference.
