- Page 3: Thermostat operation includes selecting the operation mode on your HVAC system. Selecting heat turns on the heat mode, while selecting cool activates the cooling mode. The glow in the dark light button will self-illuminate for several hours after exposure to ambient light. This button also turns on the display light when pressed. Selecting auto will turn the heat or cool on as needed. The EM heat setting will turn on emergency heat if operating a heat pump. The fan button has two settings: auto and on. Auto will cycle the fan only when the heating or cooling system is on, while on will run the fan continuously. Temperature setpoint buttons allow you to select the desired room temperature. L, M, and H may be selectable in PTAC mode for continuous fan operation at low, medium, or high speeds.
- Page 4: Thermostat quick reference provides essential information for users. Insert 2 AA alkaline batteries immediately when the battery icon appears to avoid system inoperability. A filter change reminder will display FILT when the air filter needs to be changed. To reset the filter change reminder, hold down the second button from the top left for 3 seconds. The low battery indicator appears when battery power is low, and functionality remains for 21 days after the first alert. If batteries are not replaced after 42 days, setpoints will default to 55°F for heating and 85°F for cooling. After 63 days, batteries must be replaced immediately to prevent freezing or overheating. When using the R250S as an outdoor sensor, the thermostat will manage heating based on outdoor temperature relative to the balance point. The temperature displayed with R251S indoor sensors is an average of all remotes. Using the R250S as a floor sensor may result in the system being off to prevent exceeding the setpoint.
- Page 5: Thermostat quick reference provides essential information about the device. Indicates the current room temperature. Time and day of the week are displayed.
