Installation Requirements Never install the thermostat in places with corrosive gas or serious dust, salt mist or oil smoke. Avoid wet and damp places, or areas with direct sunlight. Do not install near high temperature objects or where units might be splashed by water.
- Page 4: Thermostat Wiring instructions Wire selection The communication cords must use light/ordinary polyvinyl chloride sheathed cords. If the thermostat is installed in a place with strong electromagnetic interference, communication cords must use shielded cords. The cords of the thermostat must be selected according to the requirements of this manual. It's recommended that the length of communication cords should be 8m. It's recommended to use AWG18 cords as power cords. Installation steps Cut off the power supply by using the master switch or circuit breaker box. The power must be cut off during the whole installation process for your safety. Be careful not to damage the touch screen during installation.
- Page 5: Thermostat setup involves connecting the communication wire to H1 and H2 terminals and the 24VAC power cord to C and R terminals. To remove the screen from the rear cover, slide up using your hands. Remove the communication cord and power cord from the screen of the thermostat. Unscrew the two screws that fix the rear cover of the electric box. The homepage display is illustrated in the document.
- Page 6: Thermostat The current system date is displayed on the left and the current time is displayed in the middle. The outdoor temperature is displayed between the current system date and the current time. WiFi, error function and child lock icons are displayed on the right. View the current room temperature. View the current room humidity. Click to set the mode. Click to set the fan to automatically open or always open. Click to enter the weekly schedule setting page. Click to enter the function page. Slide the circular sliding bar or click the + or - button to adjust the set temperature value.
- Page 7: Error query: When the indoor unit occurs an error, the error icon will appear. You can click the icon to view the detailed error information. Weekly schedule page: On the homepage, click the Weekly Schedule button to enter the weekly schedule page and set the weekly schedule function. You can set four weekly schedule modes, such as Wake, Leave, Return or Sleep. Using this function will help the user save on energy bills.
- Page 8: Thermostat Function page allows setting user function parameters, querying historical fault information, and restoring installation parameters to factory settings. The KINGHOME PLUS App enables remote control of the thermostat. Users can download the app by scanning the QR code or searching in the App Store or Google Play Store. New users must register an account and add the device for WiFi and LAN control of KINGHOME smart home appliances. To use the app for the first time, WiFi must be reset. Steps to reset WiFi include entering the function page, clicking User Setup, and confirming the WiFi reset. After resetting, users can add the desired device to the app.
- Page 9: Thermostat If the router’s name and password have been changed, please reset WiFi and add the device again. WiFi networking performance is related to the distance between the thermostat and the router and the obstacles between them. During the installation process, the distance between the thermostat and the router should be as close as possible, and the obstacles should be as little as possible. If the WiFi signal is not good, use the WiFi signal enhanced router. For more information, please refer to Help in App.
