• Page 9: Basic information about heating films Infrared heating works like sun power, which is a huge change in the comfort and microclimate of a room. Infrared heating works directly on floors, walls, ceilings, or even feet. It has a positive impact on health, does not cause air movement, so it does not attract dust and mites. Maintenance-free heating means greater comfort and less environmental impact. After installation, this heating system does not require any intervention throughout the entire life of its users. Uniform and “invisible” space heating means no cold zones conducive to dampness, which minimizes the risk of harmful mould growth. The heating system covers approximately 80% of the surface while remaining invisible to the eye. • Page 15: Ready-to-install heating film kits Using the ready-to-install kit, you can start up the infrared heating system quickly and efficiently on your own in the room of your choice. To purchase the right kit, please select the type of heating film, suitable for the planned floor, size of the heating film, heating film power suitable for the building’s thermal insulation level, and thermostat model. The kit contains all the necessary accessories in sufficient quantity and with instructions. Vapour barrier film, heat insulating underlay insulation pad, and tools are not included. The connection to the mains must be made by an electrician with the relevant licence.

FEP (Teflon) insulation offers better performance and durability than conventional PVC insulation. The output of the heating mat is 150 W/sqm and is suitable for modern, well-insulated rooms. The surface of the heating mat is factory-fitted for different room sizes, so that the heating cable is not cut, providing the highest durability. The multi-wire weave of the heating cable together with the Teflon insulation provide resistance to point overheating of up to 200°C. The self-adhesive nature and the thickness of the mat, which is 3 mm, allows a quick installation of the heating system, taking up minimum space. There will also be versions with a new type of surface made possible by the new matrix: synthetic plastic with a metal frame. The HD.IS.100/5 insulating mat is recommended as an underlay for the Heat Decor heating system. This mat does not wrinkle after laying and is easy to use.
