Installation safety instructions state that the unit must be installed by a suitably qualified person in accordance with the latest IEE Wiring Regulations. Isolate mains supply before commencing installation. Please read all instructions before proceeding. Ensure that the fixed wiring connections to the mains supply is via a fuse rated at not more than 6 amps. The recommended cable sizes are 1.0mm sqr or 1.5mm sqr. No earth connection is required as the product is double insulated. Ensure continuity of earth throughout the system.

Installation must be carried out by a qualified person and comply with BS7671 and part ‘P’ of the building regulations. A thermostat should be installed between 0.9M and 1.2M above floor level. The installation location should be accessible, well-lit, and free from temperature extremes and draughts. Avoid installing the thermostat near heat sources like radiators, lights, or direct sunlight. To install, loosen screws on the backplate and remove it from the unit. Attach the backplate to a flat wall using wall plugs and screws or on a flush mounting single conduit box. Insert the provided AA batteries and attach the thermostat to the backplate. Tighten the screws underneath the thermostat after attachment.
- Page 4: Installing the RF receiver involves loosening screws, removing the backplate, and attaching it to a flat wall or conduit box. Wires should be routed through the backplate and connected to the terminals according to the relevant diagram and I.E.E. regulations. The RF receiver must be attached to the backplate and secured with screws, ensuring an appropriate fuse is fitted before connecting to the mains supply. The thermostat and RF receiver are typically paired at the factory, eliminating the need for additional pairing. If RF communication is lost, specific steps must be followed to re-establish the connection. Pressing and holding the M/A button for about 10 seconds will cause the MANUAL button to flash green. It's important to ensure the thermostat has good quality batteries for proper operation. Removing the thermostat dial reveals a small black button that needs to be held until the receiver light stops flashing. After replacing the dial, it should be turned to a level above the room temperature to check if the M/A button illuminates red. If pairing is unsuccessful, isolating the power to the RF receiver for 5 minutes may help resolve the issue.
