The valve is a bi-directional valve * and can be installed In the unlikely event of water hammer being encountered
horizontally or vertically in either the flow or return pipe. turn the setting ring (see diagram 4) to the other setting.

Open one valve and determine flow

Remove cap and turn setting ring
according to the drawings - the
setting ring is turned by hand only.

Repeat step 3 and 4 until all valves have been
set correctly. Sensor may now be fitted or the
valve cap temporarily refitted.
* Maximum pressure drop should not
exceed 0.45 bar

How do I establish the correct flow direction in Danfoss RAS-C2?
Turn the setting ring to eliminate water hammer risk.
- Close all radiator valves by turning the cap clockwise and let the system cool.
- Start the boiler or heating system.
- Open one valve and observe which pipe heats first to determine flow direction.
- Remove the cap and turn the setting ring by hand according to the flow direction.
