  • Page 4: Getting to know TIDE Dial Smart Thermostat Set your system to Auto or Cool. Set your system to Auto or On. Short cut key to switch Fan mode. Short cut key to switch system mode. Shows the temperature you preferred. TIDE UI turns blue when cooling, orange when heating, and green for fan. Gray means your system is off or not running. Shows the indoor temperature and relative humidity. Rotate dial to adjust preferred temperature or relative humidity up and down.

System mode represents current mode - Cool, Heat, Fan, Auto, Power Off, Dry, Cool 2nd stage, Heat 2nd stage, Heat 3rd stage, Emergency heat. Fan mode represents current fan status - Low, Mid, High, Auto, Off, Quiet, Step 1~5. Display brightness: Adjust display brightness from level 1 to 10. Eco/Boost mode: Mini-Split/VRV system only. Scene/Schedule: Set up Scene/Schedule if not already configured at the time of installation. Zone represents current Zone (e.g. 1st Floor or 2nd Floor) if zone is set up during installation. Once Scene/Schedule is set up and running, it represents current running scene. You will be able to switch between Comfort, Away, and Sleep or access Vacation mode.   • Page 7: Download My Nevo app to set up TIDE Dial, onboard Wi-Fi or connect sensors. If My Nevo App is not pre-installed, then you will be taken to the App Store or Google Play to install it. After app install, scan QR code to start device setup flow.

  • Page 12: Once powered on, the thermostat automatically connects with the My Nevo app and configures itself without user intervention. The My Nevo app detects the powered thermostat via Bluetooth. The app connects to Wi-Fi setup flow.

  • Page 17: Adjusting temperature To adjust the desired temperature up or down, rotate dial clockwise or counter-clockwise on thermostat home screen. Setpoint Push The cooling setpoint cannot be set below the heating temperature setpoint. The thermostat will “push” the heating temperature setpoint lower if the cooling temperature setpoint is set below the current heating temperature setpoint. A 3 degree separation is maintained between the heating and cooling temperature setpoints. The same is true for raising the heating setpoint above the cooling setpoint. The thermostat will “push” the cooling setpoint up to maintain the 3 degree separation.
  • Page 18: Auto mode allows the thermostat to automatically choose heating or cooling to reach the desired temperature. Both cooling and heating set points are displayed on the screen. To adjust the temperature, rotate the dial to highlight the desired mode, then press the dial to select. After selecting the heating or cooling set point, use the dial to adjust the temperature. Press the dial to confirm the selection once the desired temperature is reached. To adjust the temperature, rotate the dial to highlight the desired setting and press to select. After selecting the mode, rotate the dial to reach the desired temperature and press to confirm.

  • Page 20: Selecting system mode is displayed on the thermostat home screen. To switch modes, press the mode menu shortcut key and rotate the dial or press the dial to expose the menu. Navigate through the menu by rotating the dial and press to select the desired mode. System mode can vary depending on HVAC system type configuration. Auto mode allows heating or cooling to be serviced at the desired temperature, automatically switching between modes as needed. Emergency heat should only be used for emergencies until the HVAC system is repaired, as it is often the most expensive mode. Cool mode services only cooling at the desired temperature. Heat mode services only heating at the desired temperature. Emergency heat is an additional mode available only for heat pump systems. Off mode means the system is off, with no heating or cooling serviced.
  • Page 21: Selecting fan speed is displayed on the thermostat home screen. To switch fan mode, press the fan menu shortcut key and rotate the dial or press the dial to expose the menu. Navigate through the menu by rotating the dial clockwise or counter-clockwise. After a valid selection, the selected mode icon will be displayed on the home screen. Fan mode can vary depending on HVAC system type configuration. Press to open the drop-down menu from anywhere and press again to close it. Auto mode allows the fan to operate automatically based on the HVAC system. On mode keeps the fan running independently of the heating or cooling system's operation. Press to expose the menu from the home screen or make a selection. Rotate the dial to navigate through the menu and press to select.
  • Page 22: Setting menu Network Wi-Fi: Proceed to Wi-Fi setup if not set up yet. Check Wi-Fi status or change network settings once setup is complete. QuickSet Cloud: Indicates connectivity status with cloud. Zigbee: Proceed to Zigbee setup as a Zigbee coordinator or router. Coordinator: Setup TIDE Dial as coordinator using My Nevo app. Router: Connect TIDE Dial to your existing Zigbee network using on-screen instructions. Sensors Sensors & Devices Sensors: Add new sensor, list up internal sensor status and external sensor status (if available).
  • Page 23: Preferences allow users to customize display options, wake options, temperature formats, and hold settings. Display options include selecting screen behavior after a timeout. Wake options can be set to activate via proximity detection or button press. Temperature format can be switched between Fahrenheit and Celsius with different increment settings. Temperature hold settings allow for temporary or permanent overrides of the schedule. The system section includes settings for time and day configuration. Software updates can be downloaded automatically when the thermostat is connected to the network. Access control features include child lock and comfort lock for guest access. Network reset and factory reset options are available for managing settings and preferences. User reset allows for transferring ownership by erasing specific settings while maintaining HVAC configuration.

IP Address: Indicates IP address if connected and assigned. 0.0.0.0 means not connected. Bluetooth: Indicates Bluetooth address. Zigbee: Indicates Zigbee address (optional).
