- Page 4: Where to install your Maestro controller thermostat? A bit of planning will optimize Maestro’s mesh network and ensure that devices communicate well. Install the controller thermostat at approximately 5 ft. from the floor, on an indoor wall that faces the heating system. Plan to install the controller in a central location to facilitate communication with various rooms. The signal may have a hard time getting to the master bathroom due to barriers like the washer/dryer and shower. If a Maestro thermostat is placed in the master bedroom, it will help relay signals between the controller and the master bathroom thermostat. Leave a clearance of at least 12 in. around the controller thermostat to ensure proper ventilation.

Included in the box are twist-on wire connectors, mounting screws, a smart controller thermostat, and a mounting plate. A no. 2 Phillips screwdriver is required for installation.

To add thermostats on the controller, access settings and Zigbee setup. The screen for adding a new thermostat on the controller will display the Zigbee channel being used.

You can activate or deactivate proximity detection. To set room temperature, access thermostat and use the buttons to adjust room temperature.
