• Page 5: Smart home platform compatibility Sensi is highly compatible with the HVAC equipment and devices found in most people’s homes. Check out the information below to make sure Sensi thermostat will work for you. HVAC system compatibility includes conventional heating and cooling systems like gas furnaces, air conditioners, electric furnaces, and boilers. Mobile device compatibility requires iOS 10.0 or later, Android 5.0 or later, and Amazon Fire. Router compatibility includes dual-band routers with 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz bands. Sensi thermostats require an 802.11n 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and are compatible with most residential Wi-Fi networks. There are known incompatible routers; visit the support site for a list. Heat pump systems require a common wire (c-wire). Millivolt systems require 20-30VAC.
• Page 6: Warnings Failure to read and follow all instructions carefully before installing or operating this control could cause personal injury and/or property damage. If “Call For Service” is displayed on your Sensi thermostat, and E4 or E5 appears where the room temperature should be displayed or the backlight is flashing, please call our support team immediately. On two transformer systems, the transformers must be in phase. Measure the voltage across RC and RH. This product does not contain mercury. However, this product may replace a product that contains mercury. Do not use on circuits exceeding specified voltage. Higher voltage will damage control and could cause shock or fire hazard. This product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects and other reproductive harm. Thermostat installation and all components of the control system shall conform to Class II circuits per the NEC code.
