The MAXXFAN installs into a standard RV roof opening of 355mm x 355mm for KI models  

and 400mm x 400mm for KI40 models.  

To determine if your roof opening is correctly sized, simply remove the interior ceiling garnish  

trim ring of your existing roof vent and measure the ceiling opening or verify the opening is  

large enough by sliding the MAXXFAN interior garnish trim ring into the opening.  

Due to the EXHAUST / INTAKE LOUVERS that face the rear of the vehicle, the MAXXFAN  

requires a roof area clear of obstructions such as air conditioners, storage boxes, etc. for at  

least 203 mm to the rear of the existing standard roof vent flange outer rear edge.  

The MAXXFAN is designed for a minimum roof thickness of 25 mm to a maximum of  

90mm. If your roof thickness is less than 25 mm, build additional thickness at the ceiling  

opening using wood or other suitable material.  

The MAXXFAN is designed for a nominal 12 Volt DC system and requires a circuit capable  

of supplying a minimum of 5 amps to the MAXXFAN. Confirm that the circuit you intend  

to use will accommodate the additional load. Use the proper gauge stranded wire for  

electrical connections.

• Page 2: Installation instructions for all models include important steps for connecting the MAXXFAN to a circuit. The MAXXFAN requires specific roof opening sizes for different models: 355mm x 355mm for KI models and 400mm x 400mm for KI40 models. When replacing an existing roof vent, remove all old sealant for at least 50mm around the roof opening. Using incorrect voltage or polarity can damage the MAXXFAN and void the warranty. Ensure the metal mounting clips are securely in place on the Roof Receiving Flange before installation. The Roof Receiving Flange must be centered in the roof opening with the metal clips facing the sides of the vehicle. Use compatible caulking or sealant for the installation, avoiding materials that can damage the flange. Verify that the MAXXFAN is fully seated on the Roof Receiving Flange and fasten it with the provided screws. Disconnect the main vehicle power before connecting the 12 volt DC power to the MAXXFAN. The MAXXFAN will emit a beeping sound to indicate proper power connection, and it incorporates a self-resetting fuse for troubleshooting.
• Page 3: The interior garnish trim ring must be trimmed to fit your particular RV roof thickness. Measure the distance from the vehicle ceiling surface to each corner of the MAXXFAN control plate. Most RV roofs have some slope, so measuring each corner is necessary. The garnish ring should be cut 6mm to 12.5mm longer than the dimensions measured at each corner. Once marked, draw a line connecting all 102 mm marks on the outside of the garnish ring and trim accordingly. Do not probe or tamper with the thermostat sensor or IR sensor shown in the illustration. Complete the installation by placing any excess wiring to the inside of the roof opening and sliding the garnish ring into position. Fasten in place by using the four painted flat head screws provided. Refer to the operating instructions for use and testing of your remote control. The remote control comes with a cradle for wall mount storage of the handheld remote control.

This product is manufactured using UV stabilized polymers for toughness and durability. Clean all parts with mild soap and water only; do not use petroleum-based additives or solvent products. Review the contents of your cleaning materials carefully.

Rotate the knob clockwise to close the vent lid and counter-clockwise to open it. Push IN to lock when the vent lid is open or closed. Automatic opening models allow closing of the vent lid in the event of RV power loss. This knob does not lock; do not push in or pull out. Rotate the knob clockwise to close the vent lid and counter-clockwise to open it. Use keys on the keypad to control MaxxFan functions. Rotate all four insect screen retainer knobs half a turn to remove the screen. The serial number label is located underneath the round insect screen.

Pressing the Auto key enters Auto Mode, confirmed by three quick beeps. The initial factory set point for the thermostat is 26°C, adjustable using the HOLD TO SET key. The fan remembers previous thermostat settings for automatic ventilation. Arrow keys adjust the thermostat set temperature or fan speed in manual mode. When the fan speed reaches limits, it emits two quick beeps as an indicator. Pressing the Arrow keys together opens or closes the lid without changing the fan motor state.

FAN SPEED - Use Fan Speed UP and Fan Speed - buttons to adjust the fan speed, which has ten speeds. LOW BATTERY INDICATOR - Indicates when the battery needs replacement. TRANSMISSION SIGNAL - Displays when a button is pressed to indicate the signal was transmitted to the fan.

ÉTAPE 7 Terminez l’installation en plaçant le surplus de fils à l’intérieur de l’ouverture du toit. Maintenez en place en utilisant les quatre vis à tête plate recouvertes de peinture. • Page 18: Montageanleitung — alle Modelle Vorsicht: Anschließen des MAXXFAN an einen anderen als 12 Volt Gleichspannung oder mit falscher Polarität kann die MAXXFAN beschädigen. Der MAXXFAN benötigt eine Standard-Dachöffnung von 355 mm x 355 mm (KI-Modelle) bzw. 400 mm x 400 mm (KI40-Modelle). Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Metall-Clips fest am Dachflansch angebracht sind. Verwenden Sie nur Dichtungs- / Verfugungsmittel, die mit dem Flansch und der Dachoberfläche kompatibel sind. Nach dem Addieren von 12 mm verwenden Sie ein Lineal und markieren Sie jeweils den Punkt bei 102 mm an jeder Ecke der Abdeckblende. Nach dem Markieren verbinden Sie alle 102-mm-Marken an der Außenseite des Ringes mit einer gezeichneten Linie und schneiden Sie die Öffnung entsprechend zu. Manipulieren Sie den oben dargestellten Thermostatsensor bzw. den IR-Sensor nicht. Schließen Sie die Installation ab, indem sie alle überschüssigen Kabel an der Innenseite der Dachöffnung anbringen. Montieren Sie die Blende mithilfe der vier beigefügten lackierten Flachkopfschrauben. Lesen Sie sich die Bedienungsanweisung Ihrer Fernbedienung für Fragen zum Thema Bedienung und Testen durch. Die Installation Ihres neuen MAXX FAN ist nun erfolgreich abgeschlossen.

Drehen Sie den Drehknopf im Uhrzeigersinn, um die Abdeckung zu schließen; gegen den Uhrzeigersinn zum Öffnen. Modelle mit automatischer Öffnung schließen die Abdeckung im Falle eines Stromausfalls. Verwenden Sie zur Steuerung der MAXXFAN-Funktionen die Tasten auf der Tastatur. Drehen Sie die vier Knöpfe um eine halbe Umdrehung, um den Insektenschutz zu entfernen. HOLD TO SET (Zum Einstellen Drücken): Drücken Sie länger als 3 Sekunden, um die Solltemperatur auf 26°C zurückzusetzen. Die Gebläse-Drehzahl justiert sich automatisch je nach Kabinentemperatur. Pfeiltasten: Verwenden Sie die (+) & (-) Tasten, um die Solltemperatur oder die Gebläsegeschwindigkeit zu ändern. Gleichzeitiges Drücken der Pfeiltasten: Bei Modellen mit automatischer Anhebefunktion öffnet oder schließt dies die Abdeckung.
