The MAXXFAN installs into a standard RV roof opening of 355mm x 355mm for KI models

and 400mm x 400mm for KI40 models.

To determine if your roof opening is correctly sized, simply remove the interior ceiling garnish

trim ring of your existing roof vent and measure the ceiling opening or verify the opening is

large enough by sliding the MAXXFAN interior garnish trim ring into the opening.

Due to the EXHAUST / INTAKE LOUVERS that face the rear of the vehicle, the MAXXFAN

requires a roof area clear of obstructions such as air conditioners, storage boxes, etc. for at

least 203 mm to the rear of the existing standard roof vent ﬂange outer rear edge.

The MAXXFAN is designed for a minimum roof thickness of 25 mm to a maximum of

90mm. If your roof thickness is less than 25 mm, build additional thickness at the ceiling

opening using wood or other suitable material.

The MAXXFAN is designed for a nominal 12 Volt DC system and requires a circuit capable

of supplying a minimum of 5 amps to the MAXXFAN. Conﬁrm that the circuit you intend

to use will accommodate the additional load. Use the proper gauge stranded wire for

electrical connections.

Maxxair 5100KI Deluxe Manual: Questions and Answers

How do I install the Maxxair 5100KI Deluxe roof flange and seal it?

Place the flange in the roof opening, trace around it, apply sealant within the traced area, fasten with provided screws, and seal over the screw heads.

Center the Roof Receiving Flange in the opening with metal clips facing the sides of the vehicle.
Trace a pencil line around the flange to mark the clean seal area.
Apply compatible caulking or sealant within the traced area, avoiding gaps.
Fasten the flange to the roof with provided screws.
Apply additional sealant over the screw heads and around the flange edge. Instruction Manual, p. 2

Where is the power connection on the Maxxair 5100KI Deluxe located?

The two power wires connect to the circuit board in the ceiling assembly inside the vehicle. Instruction Manual, p. 2

Can the Maxxair 5100KI Deluxe work on any voltage, or does it need 12 Volts DC?

It's designed for 12 Volt DC only. Connecting to a different voltage or with incorrect polarity will damage the unit and void the warranty. Instruction Manual, p. 2

What does the green LED light mean on the Maxxair 5100KI Deluxe thermostat display?

The green LED indicates the MAXXFAN is in Auto Mode. Instruction Manual, p. 6

What do the arrow keys do on the Maxxair 5100KI keypad?
