- Page 8: DIL switch settings Slide the DIL switches to the settings required. Delay Start disabled Delay Start enabled ON/OFF - boiler switches ON when below set temperature and OFF when above. CHRONO - energy saving feature which fires the boiler at regular intervals to maintain a set temperature. Use 6 cycles for radiator systems. Use 3 cycles for underfloor heating.
- Page 9: Delay start is an energy saving feature that automatically adjusts the heating start time based on the ambient room temperature. The heating start time can be delayed during milder weather to prevent fuel wastage. The feature helps in bringing rooms up to temperature only when necessary. A chart is provided to illustrate the relationship between ambient temperature and heating start time. The system aims to optimize energy usage while maintaining comfort. It is important to monitor the temperature relative to the thermostat setting. The delay start feature contributes to overall efficiency in heating systems. Understanding the delay start function can enhance user experience. Proper use of this feature can lead to cost savings on fuel. The document includes a temperature scale in degrees Kelvin.

- Page 11: Locking - setting the thermostat at a temperature which cannot be altered by the user. Limiting - allowing the user to alter the temperature within a predefined range, which is less than the full range of the product (i.e. between 18-22°).
- Page 12: Resetting the unit involves removing the dial and pressing the reset button for 2 seconds when power is first applied.

- Page 14: The heating system will not work if a timeswitch or programmer has switched it off. To set and use your room thermostat, find the lowest temperature setting that you are comfortable with and leave it alone. Set the room thermostat to a low temperature, such as 18°C, and then turn it up by one degree each day until comfortable. Any adjustment above this setting will waste energy and cost you more money. If your heating system is a boiler with radiators, there will usually be only one room thermostat to control the whole house. You can have different temperatures in individual rooms by installing thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) on individual radiators. Choose a reasonable temperature for the whole house if you don’t have TRVs. If you do have TRVs, choose a slightly higher setting to ensure comfort in the coldest room while preventing overheating in others. Room thermostats need a free flow of air to sense the temperature, so they must not be covered or blocked. Nearby electric fires, televisions, and lamps may prevent the thermostat from working properly.
- Page 15: Understanding your thermostat Reset button Red LED - heating in operation Green LED - thermostat power on LED flashes in delay and save modes Save button Temperature display LCD
- Page 16: If the green LED is lit, the Time Control is activated. If the red LED is lit constantly, the heating is switched on. If the red LED is flashing, the Delay Start function is in operation. If the Save button is pressed while the heating is on, the Delay Start function will start. This can save energy by switching the heating off once the room is up to temperature for the duration of the delay period. Pressing the Save button a second time will return the thermostat to normal operation and the heating will start. If the green LED is on, but the red LED is off, the room temperature has been reached and the thermostat is satisfied. If more heat is required, turn the setting dial to increase the set temperature.
