• Page 2: Installation guide Wallplate installation Separate wallplate from thermostat. Mount wallplate as shown below. It's easier to grasp the wallplate and remove it after completely removing the battery holder. Drill 3/16 holes for drywall. Drill 7/32 holes for plaster. CAUTION: Electrical hazard can cause electrical shock or equipment damage. Disconnect power before beginning installation. MERCURY NOTICE: If this product is replacing a control that contains mercury in a sealed tube, do not place the old control in the trash.

Insert batteries for primary or backup power. Connect C for primary AC power (optional if batteries are installed). Press DONE to exit and save settings. Begin by pressing and holding the s and FAN buttons until the display changes. Setup function settings and options are provided, with factory defaults in bold. Different system types include various configurations for heat pumps and conventional systems. Changeover valve settings determine whether it is energized in cooling or heating. Fan control settings specify whether the thermostat or equipment controls the fan in heating. Cycle rates for heating systems vary based on efficiency and type of furnace. Emergency heat cycle rates are specified for different heating systems.
• Page 7: FocusPRO TH5110 / TH5220 / TH5320 Installer setup Settings & options (factory default in bold) Stage 1 compressor cycle rate (CPH) is recommended at 3 for most compressors. Stage 2 compressor cycle rate (CPH) is recommended at 3 for most compressors. Manual/Auto changeover options include manual changeover and auto changeover. Temperature display options include Fahrenheit and Celsius. Compressor protection includes a five-minute compressor off time. Auxiliary heat control has comfort and economy settings. Heat temperature range stops at a maximum of 90 °F (32 °C). Cool temperature range stops at a minimum of 50 °F (10 °C). System test instructions include pressing and holding specific buttons to begin testing.
• Page 8: Installation guide Auxiliary heat control (Setup Function 26): Comfort setting: The thermostat will prioritize comfort over economy depending on heat pump performance, load conditions, and whether the thermostat is calling for the heat pump. Economy setting: The thermostat will attempt to reach the temperature setting without activating the auxiliary heat. Accessories & replacement parts: Please contact your distributor to order replacement parts. Specifications Temperature ranges: Heat: 40° to 90°F (4.5° to 32°C), Cool: 50° to 99°F (10° to 37°C). Operating ambient temperature: 32° to 120°F (0° to 48.9°C). Shipping temperature: -20° to 120°F (-28.9° to 48.9°C). Operating relative humidity: 5% to 90% (non-condensing). Physical dimensions: TH5320U/TH5220D - 3-9/16 H x 5-13/16 W x 1-1/2 D. TH5110D - 3-7/16 H x 4-1/2 W x 1-5/16 D.
