- Page 4: Product overview E901 is a programmable, surface-mounted electronic room thermostat, used for wireless control of heating and cooling devices. It has the function of creating your own schedules. Thanks to the built-in algorithms, it offers better temperature control accuracy than traditional mechanical thermostats. The thermostat should use 2xAA, 1.5V alkaline batteries. Rechargeable batteries are not allowed. Product features include two types of time schedules and the possibility to choose hysteresis or built-in TPI algorithm. It has maximum/minimum temperature limitation and two relay types (selectable in thermostat settings): NO or NC. The device has HEATING/COOLING modes and a PIN lock.
- Page 5: Package content includes the E901RF wireless programmable thermostat, E901 hardwired programmable thermostat, quick guide, 2xAA batteries, and mounting screws. The ideal position for thermostat mounting is about 1.5m under floor level, away from heating or cooling sources. The thermostat should not be exposed to sunlight or extreme conditions like drafts. It is not allowed to use the thermostat in atmospheres with explosive gases or flammable liquids. If there are risks of fire or explosion, additional protection measures must be taken. The thermostat cannot be used in conditions with water vapor condensation or exposed to water action.

- Page 9: LCD icon description includes various indicators such as program timeline, AM/PM, clock, and temperature modes. Key icons include frost protection mode, comfort mode, economic mode, cooling status, and heating status. Additional icons represent the day of the week, settings, key lock function, and low battery indicator. The button description section outlines functions for changing parameter values, setting time, and selecting modes. Buttons include options for comfort temperature, economic temperature, and programming schedules. The confirm button is used for finalizing selections, while the reset button is for rebooting the thermostat.
- Page 10: Time settings are set using the D, H, and M buttons. Press any button to highlight the display. Pressing the D button sets the day. Pressing the H button sets the hour. Pressing the M button sets the minutes.
- Page 11: Operation Manual mode There are two temperature setpoint levels at our disposal. In manual mode, the chosen setpoint temperature level is maintained permanently until the user changes the operation mode or sets a different temperature for each level. Comfort mode maintains a constant day temperature. Economic mode maintains a reduced (night) temperature. In the comfort temperature mode, the thermostat is to maintain a constant day temperature. The comfort temperature level is indicated by the sun icon. To set the comfort temperature, press any button to highlight the display. Using the buttons, set the new comfort temperature value and confirm your choice. The thermostat will return to the main screen and display the actual room temperature.
- Page 12: Economic mode In the economic temperature mode, the thermostat is to maintain a reduced (night) temperature. This is to ensure a more economical operation of the heating system when, for example, you are away from home. The economic temperature level is indicated by the moon icon. To set the economic (night) temperature, see the steps below. Press any button to highlight the display. Press button to enter economic temperature mode. Using or buttons set new economic temperature value. Confirm by button or wait until the thermostat will approve your choice itself and display the main screen. The thermostat will return to the main screen and display the actual room temperature.
- Page 13: AUTO mode allows the thermostat to maintain the set temperature according to the user's selected schedule. There are two types of schedules available for managing temperature during the week. The first type schedule is represented by a 24-hour timeline with empty boxes indicating Economic (Moon) setpoint temperature and black boxes indicating Comfort (Sun) setpoint temperature. Three configurations are available for the first type schedule: separate programs for working days and weekends, individual programs for each day, and the same program for the whole week. The second type schedule allows programming of 6 time intervals per day, with precision up to 10 minutes. Each of the 6 time intervals can have a different temperature setting, unlike the first type which is limited to two setpoint temperatures at full hour periods. When creating a second type schedule, you must define the time and temperature setpoint for the thermostat to maintain. Similar to the first type, the second type also has three configurations: separate programs for working days and weekends, individual programs for each day, and the same program for the whole week. An example schedule for the second type includes specific time and temperature setpoints for both weekdays and weekends. The document includes detailed examples of temperature setpoints for various times throughout the week.
- Page 14: Switching between schedules (AUTO Mode) type 1 and 2. Press any button to highlight the display. Press and hold the button for 5 seconds to enter the schedule type selection. Using the or buttons, choose the type of schedule. Confirm by pressing the button. The thermostat will return to the main screen saving the chosen type of schedule. The timeline will disappear if schedule type 2 is chosen.
- Page 15: First type schedule programming Default program settings (1-3) Within first type schedule mode, there are 9 programs available. Programs 0 to 3 are factory-defined programs that cannot be changed. These are pre-programmed time settings for the comfort and economy temperature that can be assigned to a selected day. By default, program 1 is set for each day of the week. Press any button to highlight the display. Select the week period using the buttons. Using the buttons, choose program number (0-3). At the bottom of the display, you can see the time line, i.e. the program sequence. Comfortable temperature mode is set from 6 to 8 and from 16 to 23 o’clock. Programs should be set for all days of the week.
- Page 16: Choosing and programming user programs is essential for creating a personalized schedule. Only user programs are editable. The thermostat switches between two setpoint temperatures, represented by Sun and Moon icons. The timeline indicates the switching time. Programming starts from 0:00. An example program defines comfort temperature from 8:00 to 16:00 and economic temperature from 0:00 to 8:00 and 16:00 to 0:00. Steps include pressing a button to highlight the display and entering programming mode. Select the week period and confirm the selection. Choose the program number and set the comfort and economic temperatures accordingly.
- Page 17: Confirm by button. Use the button several times to set the economic temperature. The thermostat will proceed to program selection/editing for the next day/days period. Repeat steps 4-8. The thermostat will save changes and return to the main screen. Programs 0, 1, 2, 3 are factory set and cannot be edited. Programs 4 to 9 are user defined (editable). One program can be assigned to several days of the week. If this program is edited, the change affects all days to which the given program is assigned. E901 full user manual.
- Page 18: Frost protection mode protects the heating system against freezing. It is recommended to set this program if you are planning a long winter trip or if you do not heat up for a long time.
