Specific conditions of use:
The enclosure fascia has been coated with a layer of stainless steel to prevent the
accumulation of electrostatic charge. In order to ensure that there is no accumulation of
electrostatic charge on the enclosure, the end user shall ensure that the external metal
work of the enclosure is locally bonded to earth. Information on the durability of the
coating with regards to use of the equipment is contained within the instruction manual.

What do terminals START, STOP, and DIFF mean on the Danfoss RT 9E?
START is the make contact, STOP is the break contact, and DIFF is the differential. Installation Guide, p. 2
How do I set up the Danfoss RT 9E for my application?
Rotate the knob to set the minimum actuating temperature on the main scale. Then rotate the differential adjusting nut according to the nomogram for your model.
- Set the thermostat for minimum actuating temperature by rotating knob (5) and reading main scale (9).
- Set the differential adjusting nut (19) using the nomogram in fig. 3 for your model.
- Verify that maximum actuating temperature equals the temperature setting plus the differential. Installation Guide, p. 2
How do I install the bulb in a water tank with the Danfoss RT?
Use either a capillary stuffing box or a bulb pocket. If using a bulb pocket, follow the bulb fitting shown in fig. 4. Installation Guide, p. 2
