Wi-Fi Troubleshooting
Before following the troubleshooting guide below please check the following:
1. The password is WPA2 protected.
2. The router is set to a 2.4 GHz band. (802.11 b, g, n, b/g mixed, b/g/n mixed)
NOTE: If you need to change any of the items listed above, please refer to your router manual.
STRATA_HEAT™ Wi-Fi Thermostat
won’t connect/lost connection to
Wi-Fi Network
Possible connection timeout. In the
MySTRATA_HEAT App try to connect to the Wi-Fi
Network again. Does the STRATA_HEAT Wi-Fi
Thermostat connect?
YES
Device should now work
as normal
NO
YES
If you reboot/restart the router does the
STRATA_HEAT Wi-Fi Thermostat connect
to the Wi-Fi network?
Device should now work
as normal
NO
NO
Is the router updated to
the latest firmware?
Update router firmware
YES
Remove the display of the STRATA_HEAT Wi-Fi
Thermostat and after 10–15 seconds reattach.
Does the STRATA_HEAT Wi-Fi Thermostat connect
to your Wi-Fi Network?
YES
NO
Device should now work
as normal
NO
Set up a mobile hotspot using a smartphone. On
a separate device login to the MySTRATA_HEAT
app. Try to connect the STRATA_HEAT Wi-Fi
Thermostat to this mobile hotspot.
YES
If the STRATA_HEAT Wi-Fi Thermostat
connected to a mobile hotspot then distance
from the STRATA_HEAT Wi-Fi Thermostat to
your router is the likely issue, or the signal
could be blocked. A Wi-Fi repeater/extender
may be required.
