3 - ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Installation and maintenance operations must be carried out
with the system's electrical power switched off and by qualified
personnel, in compliance with the regulations in force.

CH121E is disconnected,
the boiler contact remains
in its current position.

4 - INSERTION AND REPLACEMENT OF BATTERIES
Insert two AAA 1.5 V alkaline long lasting batteries, of a good brand, paying
attention to the marked polarities.
N.B. the life of the batteries is greatly affected by the type of use and the settings
made by the user, especially the brightness of the display.
When the batteries are low, the symbol of the discharged battery flashes on the
display:
. CH121E keeps working regularly, but the display does not light up.
If the batteries are completely discharged, the thermostat quits working (switching
off the system) and the display reads ”PRESS HERE TO REPLACE BATTERIES”,
until the batteries are replaced.
To replace the batteries, remove CH121E from its housing, moderately pressing
inwards and at the same time on both sides of the cover. When you disconnect the
thermostat, the text “Disconnected” is displayed for one minute as well as the
symbol of the battery flashing (the battery symbol also flashes, but differently, when
the batteries are charged, signalling that the body of the thermostat is disconnected
from the base). The text “Connected” disappears when you press a key.
All parameters remain stored while the batteries are being replaced.
