  • Page 4: Installation guide for living connect®. Identify your living connect® thermostat by the code number on the box label. Living connect® comes in several versions to meet different demands. Living connect® 014G0001 is supplied with a pre-mounted adapter for Danfoss RA valves. Included items are two alkaline AA batteries, a 2 mm Allen key, and a Quick Guide in multiple languages. Living connect® 014G0002 and 014G0003 come with adapters for Danfoss RA valves and valves with M30 x 1.5 connections. The Quick Guide is available in various languages depending on the version. Living connect® sensor is included in the package. Adapters for RA valves and M30 x 1.5 (K) valves are provided. The package also includes alkaline AA batteries and a 2 mm Allen key.

  • Page 6: Installation guide for living connect. Instructions for installing the right adapter. Adapter for RA valves should be placed on the valve and tightened with a 2 mm Allen key. Adapter for M30 x 1.5 (K) valves should be hand-tightened with a maximum torque of 5 Nm. Adapter for RAV valves requires clicking the inner adapter on the valve and hand-tightening the outer adapter with a maximum torque of 5 Nm. Adapter for RAVL valves also requires clicking the inner adapter on the valve and hand-tightening the outer adapter with a maximum torque of 5 Nm.
  • Page 7: Installation guide for living connect® adapter for RTD valves includes instructions for placing and tightening the RTD adapter. Adapters for M28 valves require following specific instructions supplied with the valve adapter. To insert batteries, remove the battery cover and insert two AA batteries, ensuring correct orientation. Rechargeable batteries must not be used. When replacing batteries, program settings are preserved, but time and date settings reset after two minutes. A low battery symbol is displayed approximately one month before the batteries run out. Before batteries run out, living connect® will leave the valve in a slightly open position to protect it from damage. The device features two arrow buttons for navigating the display and menus, and for setting the temperature. Temperature is usually controlled via Danfoss Link™ CC but can be changed using the thermostat’s buttons. The thermostat sends a message to Danfoss Link™ CC to synchronize other thermostats in the same room.
  • Page 8: Installation guide for living connect® includes the following key points: - living connect® must be in Installation Mode. - Screw living connect® onto the adapter and tighten by hand (max. 5 Nm). - Installation Mode can be selected by pressing for 3 seconds until M is displayed. - Turn living connect® clockwise until it locks, then tighten. - Icons for Network Connection and Alarm are flashing, indicating readiness for connection with Danfoss Link™ CC. - living connect® detects the exact opening point of the valve for control. - The adjustment procedure may cause the valve to be warm regardless of room temperature. - During the first week, living connect® learns when to start heating the room. - Intelligent control adjusts heating time based on seasonal temperature changes. - Using the Saving Program requires sufficient heat from the heating system for a short period.
  • Page 9: Installation guide for living connect. Activate installation mode by pressing for 3 seconds to select the function menu. A large M will flash in the display to indicate that installation mode is activated. Select M with the designated button. Remove the battery cover and the batteries. Insert the Allen key into the hole to lock the adapter ring. Turn counterclockwise to unscrew living connect from the adapter. To reset living connect to default settings, remove the battery cover and take out one battery. Press and hold the button for approximately 5 seconds while reinserting the battery.

With the hex key locking the adapter ring, turn the adapter in the shown direction. Put back the battery cover. Mount living connect on another valve adapter according to the instructions supplied with the adapter.

Connecting living connect to a Danfoss Link system Make sure that the room in which living connect has been installed, has been configured in Danfoss Link CC.
  • Page 13: User Guide Living connect® Room Devices Add Room Devices Keep the device within 1 meter of the controller and get ready to begin installation. Press the installation-button on the device now. Select “Add a device”. Press “Begin Registration”, and then press and release on the thermostat. Decide what the heating system prioritizes. Device was added: FTS-117. Choose “Yes” to add another device to the room, choose “No” to continue. Once a device has been registered and the Danfoss Link™ CC is placed in final position, you must perform a network test. Choose Radiator Type and press (only with Danfoss Link™ RS room sensor).
  • Page 14: User guide for living connect. Testing the connection involves pressing a button for at least 3 seconds until M is displayed. If no connection can be made, an alarm and antenna will indicate the issue. Press until LI is displayed to make the connection, which disappears when successful. Refer to “Technical questions” for further assistance. Adjusting to radiator/room conditions requires pressing for at least 3 seconds until M is displayed. The default setting is P2, with options to use P1 for oversized radiators and P3 for undersized ones. Select P1, P2, or P3 using the appropriate buttons and exit using another button. The frequency of P1, P2, and P3 regulation varies to compensate for radiator sizing.
  • Page 15: User guide for living connect® includes an Open-window function that closes the valve to reduce heat loss when room temperature falls dramatically. The function is quarantined for 45 minutes after activation. Living connect® automatically exercises the valve every Thursday at approximately 11:00 hrs to maintain functionality. The thermostat is not intended for children and should not be used as a toy. Packaging materials should be kept away from children due to safety concerns. The thermostat should not be dismantled as it contains no user-serviceable parts. Error codes displayed should prompt a return to the distributor. The thermostat must be disposed of as electronic waste.
