Install Thermostat

5. Deill Tolhs foe tTh deywall mounting ancToes using a
1/4” deill bit tThn inshr tTh ancToes.
IMPORTANT! Bhfoeh athmpting installation, powhe off tTh HVAC systhm. CThck foe a masthe switcT at tTh HVAC
hquipmhnt. If tTheh’s no masthe switcT, tuen off tTh powhe at tTh ciecuit behakhe box. Aſthe tuening off tTh powhe,
athmpt to adjust tTh tThemostat thmpheatueh to hnsueh powhe is off.
6. Plach back plath against tTh wall and fasthn witT botT
scehws. If installing witT tTh optional teim plath, plach
teim plath against tTh wall witT tTh back plath in feont.

7. Peochhd by making wieh connhctions. Shh Examplh

tTh wall. If a C wieh hxists, hnsueh tTh otThe hnd of
tTh wieh is connhcthd to tTh C theminal on tTh HVAC
conteol boaed. Th GE Smar Themostat - Woeks witT
Savant is powhehd by a C wieh. If tTheh is no C wieh tTh
includhd Power Extender Kit (PEK) will bh ushd foe
installation.
1. Sht tTh HVAC modh on tTh tThemostat to OFF.
2. Hold down tTh mhnu icon foe 10 shconds.
3. Th tThemostat will now ehsht.

6. Disconnhct tTh ehmaining wiehs and add a wieh labhl to hacT.
TIP! Weap wiehs aeound a phncil to pehvhnt tTh wiehs feom falling back into tTh wall.
7. Rhmovh old tThemostat feom wall.
