• Page 2: Overview Your Invita Wi-Fi Thermostat includes the capability to connect to the Amazon Alexa and Google Home mobile apps. In order to use these features, the thermostat must be first connected to the Internet and be registered to a Watts Home mobile app account. Once connected to Alexa or Google Home, you have two additional options to control your thermostat: using the Alexa or Google Home mobile app and voice control. Legal Before using the Wi-Fi features including the Watts Home mobile app and connection to Amazon Alexa and/or Google Home, you must accept the Terms of Use. If you do not accept these terms, the product can still be used without Wi-Fi features. Please read carefully before proceeding with installation. Your failure to follow any attached instructions or operating parameters may lead to the product’s failure. Keep this Manual for future reference.
• Page 3: Amazon Alexa Setup Connect the Invita Wi-Fi. Download the Amazon Alexa mobile app from the App Store or Google Play and create an account. Select More. Then click Skills & Games. Use the search feature to find & select the Watts Home skill. Enable to use the Watts Home skill. Enter the email address and password for your Watts Home account. Select Discover Devices. The tekmar Invita will now be added to your Alexa account. Amazon Alexa Voice Controls Check the operating mode.
• Page 4: Tips for using Alexa include optional thermostat naming if only one is set up. Using a programmable schedule with Alexa results in a temporary hold on temperature changes until the next scheduled change. For Google Home setup, connect the Invita Wi-Fi thermostat to the internet and register within the Watts Home mobile app. If creating a new Google Home account, select Create Home. If an existing Google Home structure is defined, select the desired home. Add devices by selecting '+ Add' and then Works with Google Home. Search for Watts Home and enter your account email and password. Download the Google Home mobile app from the App Store or Google Play to sign in or create an account. Discover the tekmar device and add it to your preferred room.
• Page 5: Google Assistant voice controls Check the operating mode Check the current heating/cooling setpoints Check the current temperature Set a specific temperature Increase the setpoint Decrease the setpoint If only one thermostat is set up in Google Home, then using the thermostat name is optional. Any temperature changes using Google Home results in a temporary hold that remains in effect until the next scheduled temperature change.
