NOTE: If Optional Cover Plate is not
required, see “UWP Mounting System
installation” on next page.

Use the Optional Cover Plate when
you need to cover paint gap from old
thermostat.
There are different cover plates
depending on when the thermostat was
manufactured.

For the square cover plate:
1. Separate the Cover Plate from
Mounting Plate.
Use supplied
screws and
wall anchors
2. Mount the Mounting Plate on to the
wall using any of the 8 screw holes.
Insert and tighten mounting screws
supplied with Cover Plate Kit. Do not
overtighten. See Figure 2. Make sure
the Mounting Plate is level.

3. Attach the UWP by hanging it on the
top hook of the Mounting Plate and
then snapping the bottom of the UWP
in place. See Figure 3.
4. Snap the Cover Plate onto the
Mounting Plate. See Figure 4.

Can I use Honeywell T4 Pro without the C wire if I install AA batteries?
The C terminal is optional if AA batteries are installed, but Honeywell recommends connecting it. The thermostat can operate on batteries alone as primary or backup power. Installation Guide, p. 3
What does Wait mean on the Honeywell T4 Pro display?
The compressor is in its minimum-off timer period after shutdown and cannot restart yet. The thermostat shows this message when there is a cooling call during the timer. Installation Guide, p. 8
What does ISU 303 Auto Changeover Differential control on the Honeywell T4 Pro?
How far past the setpoint the thermostat switches to the selected mode, ranging from 0 °F to 5 °F or 0.0 °C to 2.5 °C. Installation Guide, p. 7
What is the difference between partial and full keypad lockout on Honeywell T4?

How do I know if Honeywell T4 is in the right system mode?
