Can the Repto R3300030 be used outdoors, or is it only for indoor terrarium use?

How do I set the time periods and temperature on the Repto R3300030?

Hold the main button for 3 seconds to enter setting mode, then configure up to 8 time periods.

1. Rotate the main button clockwise or counter clockwise to switch between T1 up to T8.
2. Press the main button to enter time setting. Rotate to increase or decrease time in 30-minute steps, from 00:00 to 23:30.
3. Press the main button to enter temperature setting. Rotate to increase or decrease temperature between 20°C to 50°C.
4. Rotate counter clockwise past 00:00 to delete a setting; remaining periods rearrange in order.
5. Press and hold the main button for 3 seconds to complete the setting. Instruction Manual, p. 7

What does it mean if the time will not save during the setting process?

If no input occurs within 15 seconds, the current setting value saves automatically and returns to working state. Instruction Manual, p. 6
